Runchat Updates: January 21, 2026
Streamed chat responses, Opus 4.5 support, improved input nodes, and easier workflow history management.
š„ļø CODE NODE UPDATES
- We now stream responses in the chat panel so you get feedback immediately
- You can restore the state of the code and chat back to an earlier message to quickly revise code
- Generated code is now collapsed on chat responses to keep the ui clean
- Support for Opus 4.5 for way better code quality
- Supports setting data structures (item or list) on generated parameters for more control
- The parameter manage now allows you to edit existing parameters rather than these being readonly
š INPUT NODE UPDATES
- Input nodes now have a settings bar to make it easier to switch between the different input types
- Added a "generate" button to quickly create lists of data using an LLM - this is great for generating options
- Input nodes no longer expire (creating dashed edges in your workflow)
- Instead, when you change an input they immediately pass their output data to all downstream nodes and these will expire if needed
- Fixed a bug where the input type would immediately change if you entered a number
š SIMPLER HISTORY
- We now show history / undo / redo buttons under the workflow name input
- We tag history as [job] or [api] if the workflow was created automatically
š¦ GRASSHOPPER IMPROVEMENTS
- Resetting a component no longer requires reconnecting inputs and outputs
- You can use the Chat setting on the agent node in Grasshopper to continuously refine outputs
We've also made many more fixes and improvements to the new Search Menu / Prompt bar that hopefully make this component more reliable and stable.
What are we working on right now? Artifacts! We're making it possible to create, refine and publish websites, blog posts and slideshows directly from runchat workflows. We're testing this out with these release notes and our blog, and will be making this live for everyone shortly. Looking forward to this!
