Runchat provides access to fast models for concept exploration, image editing, workflow creation and code generation to all subscribers, along with web search. With free models you can develop prototypes and design ideas before switching to higher quality models for production. Free access is subject to daily limits, with higher limits on Pro and Max plans.

Whenever you make a request to a generative model, an API endpoint or our code sandbox this request will consume some compute resources either on our servers, or with one of our inference providers. We track the cost of these requests using our credit system. Generally speaking, fast generative models will cost fewer credits than long running processes (like video or mesh generation).

Yes. You can purchase credits or multiple seats on a single account. These then go into a shared pool that can be accessed by all team members with individual limits if needed. You can purchase and share one-off topup credits for fixed budgets, or multiple subscription seats for better value credits and access to subscription features. Teams can be temporary (e.g. for a short workshop) and members can leave your team while keeping their account and generated content.

Unused credits roll over for one calendar month.

You can use the Runchat MCP to connect Claude or ChatGPT to your runchat account and interact with your workflows, Rhino and Grasshopper. You can also link an OpenRouter account to use Anthropic and OpenAI models with the Runchat agent.

When you use a generative model in Runchat, the content is shared with the model's inference provider (Fal, Vertex AI, Openrouter, Modal etc). Each provider follows different retention policies that can typically be found on the API documentation. Teams on a Pro plan can limit available models to an approved whitelist. All generated content is stored securely on our servers.

Runchat does not use your content for training. However, third-party providers like Fal or OpenRouter have their own policies — check their terms for specific models. For organizations requiring zero data retention and no training, we offer Vertex AI models (Veo, Imagen, Gemini) which don't train on or retain your data. Enterprise plans can whitelist specific models to ensure compliance.

You can create unlimited workflows, artifacts, and scheduled jobs on any plan. All generated assets (images, videos, 3D models) are stored securely with fair use storage limits.

All plugins for Rhino, Blender, Revit, and SketchUp are free and work with any Runchat plan, including the free Starter plan. Installation instructions are available at docs.runchat.com.
