Runchat Updates: June 2, 2026

🎉 ALL PLANS INCLUDE FREE USAGE

• We've included models for image gen, editing, upscaling
• We've also included models for chat, scripting and working in Grasshopper
• These models are called "Runchat" and will be indicated as "Free" instead of showing credit costs
• Each plan has different free usage caps that reset daily / weekly / monthly. If you go over the limit these models just cost credits as normal

📊 LIVE CREDIT BAR

• We now show a little bar showing your remaining credits / free usage in the editor so it's easier to track
• This also shows when your free usage resets

⚙️ MODEL PREFERENCES

• When you go through the chat agent onboarding we now recommend cost / balanced / quality based on your plan
• If you prefer cost, the agent will also try to use low cost models when building workflows

🐘 MAX PLAN AND PRICE CHANGES

• We've added a new Max plan with the cheapest credits. For people using Runchat a lot this will be the most cost effective plan.
• To support the new free usage we've slightly reduced the included credits on hobby and pro. Existing subscriptions will keep the current limits while also getting the new free usage 🥳
• To simplify our pricing, all plans now have the same price for topup credits

We're really excited to be able to support free usage as we think that being able to experiment with AI models without worrying about failures costing credits is a really big win. We will be trying to include more models in Free usage limits, and increase these limits as we go forward.

We're now working on making it easier for first-time users to work with Runchat, so expect more examples and better onboarding soon.
