release-notes
š MCP SERVER
- Runchat now hosts an MCP server so that you can interact with workflows from Claude or Codex
- This means you can use your Claude subscription (and new Fable model) to create workflows, edit prompts and write and run python scripts
- One of the most powerful uses of the mcp server will be building out workflows to run as tasks on https://runchat.com/dashboard/tasks
- To connect, follow the guide on https://docs.runchat.com/concepts/integrations/mcp
ā AGENT QUESTIONS
- The chat agent now has a simple UI for asking you questions when it needs to
- This is great for quickly selecting options or upgrading models
- The agent will prompt you to pick a better model if it's struggling with your current task
š RUNCHAT FAST AGENT IN THE FREE MODELS
- We've added a new Runchat Agent Fast model that is a 10x faster version of the Runchat Agent Pro model
- This makes it practically instant for writing scripts or editing grasshopper definitions
- It's also really fast at iteration - if it makes a mistake it can fix it faster.
- We've included it in free usage, though it will use it 3x faster than the pro model
š SIMPLER FAL AND OPENROUTER UI
- It's now a bit easier to add custom models from fal or openrouter
- We just open a tab so you can browse Fal.ai or openrouter.ai directly and compare models, see costs, check examples and so on
- Paste in the url to install a model
š¼ļø BETTER MULTIMODAL SUPPORT
- Some models can't take image inputs - we now route these to a light weight multimodal model to get descriptions of images so you can use them in more workflows
- Agents can now view or inspect SVG images in chat
- Image processing with the Runchat Agent models should be more reliable
Lots more coming soon, we're still working on those improvements to examples...
